A car repair shop fixes broken cars and finds the cause of faults. A good workshop locates the fault reliably, tells you the price in advance and does quality work.
Car repair shops handle fault diagnostics, brake and suspension repairs, engine and gearbox repairs, and electrical system faults. Many shops also carry out scheduled servicing and pre-inspection checks.
The workshop reads the car's fault codes with diagnostic equipment and physically checks the parts. A good shop clearly explains what the fault is, what the repair costs and what options you have.
Get quotes from at least two or three garages. Compare hourly rates, parts prices and the estimated amount of work. Also ask whether the quote is binding and what it includes.
Dealer workshops know the cars of a specific manufacturer and use original parts. Multi-brand garages are often more flexible and affordable, and they repair all makes.
The order is based on the Suomi.Best score (0–100), which is calculated from customer ratings, review volume, service coverage, data completeness, verification, price transparency, online booking and freshness. Paid listings do not affect the score.
Fault diagnosis typically costs €50–120. Many garages deduct the diagnostic fee if the repair is carried out during the same visit.
Small repairs are often completed the same day. Larger repairs can take several days depending on the availability of parts.
Both are used. Original parts fit perfectly but cost more. Quality alternative parts can be a good, more affordable choice.
Contact the garage and describe the fault as precisely as possible. If the car is undriveable, ask about towing and request an estimate of the repair costs before work begins.
