A car rental gives you a car for a day, a week or longer. A rental car is a flexible solution for trips, work tasks and temporary needs.
Think about the car's size, purpose and number of passengers. A small car suits city driving; a wagon or van suits family and transport needs. Also compare the fuel type and any extras.
A rental car usually includes basic insurance, but the excess can be high. Consider reducing the excess with additional cover, especially on longer trips or when driving in unfamiliar areas.
Book the car in advance, show your driving licence and credit card, and sign the rental agreement. Return the car on time in the same condition as when collected, and top up the fuel according to the rental company's instructions.
